Cap’n Funk & the Groove Train

Our Story
We started out by practicing in my parent’s garage during high school. We spent many long nights writing, playing and eating pizza to produce our first album. Our group was forged together through a love of music and a passion for creating. Years later some of us still share the same stage while forging some new extroidinary talent that has become the standard of professionalism now called Cap’n Funk & The Groove Train.

What Inspires Us
Despite sharing many of the same interests and pastimes, we all are inspired by different things that lead us to work with passion in a creative setting. We take pride in our performances and support each other on and off stage. We realize we are truly blessed to continue in our quest sharing what we love with unwavering passion and bring it to you, our fans.

Our Influences
Our music blends rock and pop with some funk to create a wall of relentless harmonies. Our lyrics are personal and inspired by legends of our time. Our horn section steps up seamlessly with the funky flavor we have all learned to love supported by each other to form the groove. The powerful bands of the 70s and into the 80s is what we do….
