Lara Bell Duo
Lara Bell has been a natural songbird since she could talk. She’s unique, fresh, welcoming and crowds say, “why isn’t she in Nashville yet”. Lara is a breath of tranquility to the music business with her soulful country heart. Being an independent music entrepreneur all these years, she is on the road to success.
She was raised on the country and folk hits of the 70s, as well as some classic rock thanks to her father. At the age of 14, she picked up the guitar and began lessons with her instructor, Ken Champion. He showed her the world of country and rock n’ roll legends from the Golden past. She began writing that same year. Writing was the missing piece of expressing herself that she finally found. Having written over 100 songs, she has found the key to her heart and how to share it with the world. Raining with innocence, Lara brings a new sound to the music industry with her romantic honesty. She has found her voice within the storytelling of country music.
Capturing the crowd’s attention with her diversity, although country is her favorite, Lara is able to adapt to many styles with her own personal twist. Audience members have compared Lara’s music to Jewel, Miranda Lambert, Joni Mitchell, Sheryl Crow, Corinne Bailey Rae, Bob Dylan, and Stevie Nicks, amongst others. At shows, Lara Bell plays a range of covers from the 50s-now, as well as original music. A true old soul at heart, Lara really connects with the classics. For example, her setlist ranges from old school Patsy Cline, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, or the French Edith Piaf, to classic rock like The Beatles, to folk hits from the 70s, such as ABBA, John Denver or Simon and Garfunkel, to indie hits from today such as The Lumineers, Ray LaMontagne, Shakey Graves, Ed Sheeran, and country classics by Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, and Kacey Musgraves. Lara loves to entertain the crowds, whatever ages they may be.
